Wash. U. - WUSTL: WashU is a great place!!!! (This isn't a promotion)
WashU is ALOT of hard work, but it pays off. There is no such thing as an easy major here (not even art), so if you are the lazy type it isn't the right place for you. But if you're not afraid to do a little sweating, its the place for you. I choose WashU because I got a really good financial aid package and once I visited I just fell in love with it. Everyone is extremely warm and its a nice atmosphere. As an African American student, I can say that there is also a good amount of diversity and ...

Wash. U. - WUSTL: WashU ROCKS!
Be prepared to study! Some students show up not ready for the work and thus do not do as well as they could. WashU is a great place for all sorts of people. This school is great for students who have above average IQs but are not ready for pressures of Ivy League schools. Personally, as a B-student in High School, I thought I would not fit in to such a prestigious school, but I managed to overcome this and do better than high school!

Wash. U. - WUSTL: WashU: Work Hard, Play Hard
If you're coming to WashU, you'd better be ready to work hard and play hard. During the week (and the weekends when finals roll around) you'll be working from when you get up to when you go to sleep. On the weekends, you'll be partying (or recovering from partying) from well, when you get up 'til when you go to sleep. Being smart isn't enough to cut it here. If you got all As in high school, be prepared to see your GPA drop. Especially if you're pre-med. WashU is an a...

Wash. U. - WUSTL: Very cool RA's
Good food, good housing included. It’s a really good school, you get a good education, but the social atmosphere is pretty good considering we’ve got a bunch of nerds going here. One of the big reasons I went here was because I was going to be able to meet a lot of people from all over the place and all types of different backgrounds and—what’s going on—I mean, I’ve met a lot of people from all over the US and stuff like that. As far as cultures, as lot of people of similar cultur...

Wash. U. - WUSTL: Big, friendly school for cool people
This is a great school for somebody who is looking for a big school environment who wants to meet a lot of different kinds of people. I mean it’s really good academically, but you’re not going to get a lot of diversity at this school, it’s pretty much the same kind of people that go here and it’s a very laid back, vanilla school, not that that’s a bad thing but it’s just not very exciting or flavorful.

Wash. U. - WUSTL: Lots of Frats - No Sororities!
I actually transferred here from the Ivy Leagues. I went to U Penn for a year and a half and I didn’t like it. I thought it was too much B.S. and too much pomp. So I came here where people are more chill and laid back. It’s a really friendly-type community. This is definitely NOT a party school.

Wash. U. - WUSTL: St. Louis is no New York.
New York is definitely much bigger than St. Louis. My favorite thing about St. Louis and Wash U is that the campus is very close to downtown, so it’s 10 minutes or less just to get downtown, so it’s really easy to just go to a baseball game. There’s definitely a lot of international students here. A lot of my friends are from different countries: Costa Rica, Trinidad, Korea, China - so there’s definitely a lot of diversity in that sense. You definitely get a lot of different perspe...

Wash. U. - WUSTL: A Little Laid Back
I got a really good feel when I first visited this school. The campus here is beautiful. All the buildings have that traditional college-feel. When I first came on this campus I was just blown away. And it’s not a huge campus but it’s not extremely small either, you definitely feel comfortable walking around and everything. Of all the schools that I visited, I just felt really welcomed here and I felt like the students and the faculty really cared about what they were doing here. It’s defi...
