College Overview: Wayne State University

I honestly didn't choose Wayne State University. I was originally at Xavier University of Louisiana, located in New Orleans, but Hurricane Katrina ruined my experience. I'm originally from Detroit, so Wayne State was the closest thing to home. If you are quiet, and you enjoy a one-on-one learning experience, Wayne State is definitely not the place for you!

Wayne State University: Wayne State: Looking for Leaders
Wayne State University is in the cultural center of Detroit. Although many people think negatively of the school because it is located in Detroit, the crime rate on campus is minimal and is comparable to that of any other college campus. Crime statistics are even sent out monthly by the WSU Police Department so that students are aware of the number and types of crimes that have occured. The key is to use common sense. Wayne State University: You can get lost @ Wayne
Wayne State is a good college if you want to commute but do not want to just go to a Community College. There is a big difference between the two. It's exciting to wear the Wayne State gear and go to the football games (even though the team is not the best). There's lots to learn and lots of fun to have.
