Yale: Heaven in New Haven
Don't be intimidated by Yale's reputation. The most important thing about every student here is not his or her SAT score, high school GPA, or anything like that, but what makes him or her UNIQUE. Apply, and tell your story. Each person is so different and so interesting, and I haven't met anyone who is only about what he studies, who his parents are, etc. I chose Yale over Harvard and other great schools, because of the people and the environment. DON'T come to Yale if you're an introverted, hyp...

Yale: THE BEST
Yale is the most-laid back IVY, especially when compared to Harvard which is way too uptight. The academics are definitely above par. Everyone is friendly and talented. It's great. Also, the housing and dorms are wonderful and you get to be surrounded by beautiful architecture, spacious courtyards (that have swings, benches, chess tables, etc.), and many different facilities (a library in each of the 12 residential colleges, squash courts in some, basketball courts in others, CD cafe, dark r...

Yale: Yale University... Making the Grade
Yale is a really great place. One of the many things that make it unique, aside from its beautiful, gothic architecture, fabulous and renowned professors, and great student body, is the residential college system (think: Harry Potter) which allows you to have the "small liberal arts college" feel in a larger setting. Besides, you have a Master (who's in charge of social activities) and a Dean (who's in charge of all the academics) who live with you in the residential college and are ther...

Yale: Fun times as a Yalie
Being from northwest Washington I wasn't able to make any east coast college rounds, so view/guide books were very important in my decision. Between the Yale view book and the site online, yale, edu (which includes a virtual tour...very cool) I found everything that I wanted and needed to know. One thing in particular that drew me to Yale is the residential college system. Although an approximately 6,000 undergrad populace isn't too large, it's big enough where you don't know e...

Yale: For God, For Country, For Yale
Yale's a great place for a well-rounded person who's passionate about a lot of different things, and who's looking for a great environment to pursue them. I feel like Yale is a place that's more about passion than competition- it's far less competitive than my high school. If you're considering Yale, ask yourself these questions: How do I feel about cold weather? Can I really take several months of snow? Am I the type of person who wants a well-rounded college exp...

Yale: The Yale Alumni Association
I got to learn a lot about what’s going on in terms of service on campus and it’s a lot. It’s a very involved place. I think it’s a big part of a lot of people’s sort of just life at Yale. Just in terms of community service and activism.

Yale: Tradition
I chose Yale because it was so beautiful. That was one of the first things that drew me to it besides the Yale name. Yale just has a really great feeling about community to it and that’s something that really drew me here.

Yale: A Little Bit of Everything
One thing that I like about Yale are the different colleges, they all kind of have a different style, so I live in this college that kind of looks like a castle I guess. There are also ones that are red brick with big white pillars and stuff and they all kind of have their different feel. You get a little taste of everything.

Yale: You Can Do Anything Here
I came to Yale expecting people to be arrogant and closed minded or I guess uptight is more an accurate description. I was rather shocked when I made it to the first party. It was actually a Hawaiian Luau at one of the on campus fraternities. I have to say it was quite a shock, but a good one at that.

Yale: Pretty Aweseome
Yale is one of the most relaxed, cool places to go to school. It lets students do what it wants. There’s no sort of bureaucratic interference from administrators and that’s one thing I like about it a lot.
