The Great Orange and Blue
IntroductionAuburn University is the college that I attend and that I feel deserves an outstanding review. First of all, I would like to say that Auburn University is one of the most spirited and prideful schools in the entire nation. When you come to school here you feel the tiger pride throughout and even beyond the city. I would say that one of the biggest pieces of advice for anyone considering Auburn as their college would be to go ahead and do some research about all of the cool traditions that are followed here (It will help you get more familiar with the Orange and Blue). Before you actually start classes though, you will go to "Camp War Eagle" and begin your experience of learning what Auburn really stands for. There you will become equipped with the Auburn fight song as well as a lot of other helpful info about the town and school. I chose to attend Auburn because the tiger pride runs all through my family and most of my friends...once you feel it, you'll know that there's no other school that can compare. The only kind of student that may want to steer clear of Auburn University would be a student that simply does not enjoy being involved and contributing to the Orange and Blue environment; the students who would not want to come to Auburn would find no enjoyment in joining their city and showing their pride for their school. Auburn is a great place, and not just for students, it is a place for everyone who feels the tiger pride to come together and root for their favorite school and celebrate victories by rolling Toomer's Corner!(One of Auburn's traditions)
Campus Life and Social LifeSocial life at Auburn is very active and enjoyable for any and every person who wants to get together with others and take in this great town and all of its pride. The main event though for Auburn has proven to be the days before AUBURN football games. It is so much fun and you will never imagine nor believe all of the people who come to show their pride and to tailgate...it lasts for miles and you can just feel all of the Orange and Blue bringing everyone together. Besides football season, Auburn remains lively and full of so many different things to do. There are several clubs (i.e. Bodega, Bourbon Street, Mama Lucy's, PJ's Lounge) and as long as you are 18 you can get into them and hang out with friends and dance or play pool. The only down side of social life in Auburn only comes around during the summer; everyone usually goes back home and it can seem sort of boring if you are one of the few who stays. Campus life is always good and everyone is friendly on campus. The teachers here are also really good. Auburn also has a great food court in the Foy Union with a Chick-fil-a and a Subway!

AcademicsAuburn's academics are great. Every department from foreign languages to mathematics has a wide range of teachers and you can easily use "RatemyProfessor.com" to check out how other students have thought about the courses you will take. You will never feel too overloaded with homework because the teachers are all aware of the busy lives that we college students lead so you will always have time to get everything done. The TAs here at Auburn are also very helpful and seem to enjoy helping and also seem have the right focus for us students
Student BodyThere is really no such thing as the "typical" student here at Auburn because everyone is different. The students here come from all over. Most of the students here are into getting their education as well as making new friends and enjoying the town.
In Closing...I think anyone who would not think that they would enjoy being a student here at Auburn University would have a change of heart if they could experience it just once. There is so much more than I have mentioned but in order to see and enjoy it for yourself I guess you will have to make a quite simple decision...WAR EAGLE!
