BSU Review

Rating: 0/5 (0 ratings)
Introduction
BSU is a school specialized in a few majors. If you live in Indiana, and want to go into Communications, Education, Architecture, Exercise Science, there is no better university in the state. BSU is very welcoming, and we have a very diverse population

Campus Life and Social Life
BSU does get a reputation as a party school. There are 200 or so houses on the east side of campus, where everyone flocks to on weekends, and those get pretty wild. The Greek live is about average, there are multiple frats, but due to a muncie law, sororities can't have more than 6 girls in the house, so sororities are a lot more spread out and in smaller houses. BSU has had a very good football team recently, but is struggling this year. It should get a lot better in the future though.

Academics
Professors here are great. The academics are definitely above average. All of the departments above are world class departments.

Student Body
Good news for guys: the Guy to Girl ratio is about 2/3. The girls for the most part are pretty attractive. Overall, i've found the student body to be very more accepting of who you are than at schools like IU and Purdue.

In Closing...
Ball State sometimes gets the reputation as the school kids who can't get into IU and Purdue go to. While this may have been true a while ago, 70% of students graduated high school with an academic honors, and the average high school GPA is a 3.5. The standards are slightly below IU and Purdue, but only a small percentage of students fit the stereotype. I got into IU, and chose BSU.
