Waste of Money
IntroductionI chose BSU because I have family here and in the end I would have less to pay back to my loans after graduation. BIG mistake! Students who want the most, whether it is in Greek life, or a part-time job, STAY AWAY FROM BSU! The economy here sucks right now, so many people are unemployed and no one is hiring. Also, most majors do not accommodate for lots of students' needs. Like dieting, good luck on dorm food! Or maintenence, my roommate flushed her cell phone on accident on Jan. 10th, and we still haven't had someone attempt to get it out from maintenence, but they have been here to fix it after it plugs up due to the cell phone blocking the pipes!
Campus Life and Social LifeIf you are looking to Rush/Go Greek, go for it but beware: most chapters are losing except the ones who only accept the attractive partiers! Guys: If you play guitar and you are a pimp, you're in. Ladies: If you hve long hair and a nice bod, you're in. Otherwise, you go to the loser soririties/fraternities and the chances of your chapter being kicked off campus increase. Now, house parties used to be fun, but since that kid got shot by a cop, all house parties are busted by like 11 or midnight. You have better chances of playing Beer Pong in your dorm with your RA than you do of hitting an awesome house party. The only good thing about campus is the wireles Internet. But you have to have a laptop to benefit, obviously.

AcademicsMost professors in the Core classes are easier on Nursing Majors, but that major is extremely hard due to the hours and class load. So good luck! Teaching is good if you have the money to buy an Apple laptop. TCOMM is awesome here, but don't except David Letterman to appear anytime soon. Most classes aren't too bad with work load by themselves, but when you have at least 5 classes per semester, you'll be reading an average of 7-10 chapters a night. There aren't many TA's....most professors have student assistants who just grade papers, and some have SI leaders that go to the class and hold extra study hours for extra points. But they don't teach the class, so I guess that's a good thing.
Student BodyThe typical student is from the Indianapolis area. They are usually into partying/drinking/smoking yet they get decent grades. They are also snobby, bitchy, and very stereotypical, cause drama, and stick in their little groups.
In Closing...Go somewhere else. All the drama and stupid requirements are bullshit and a waste of time. If you are smart, go to DeVry or something. You get the same degree in 3 years without the stupid core classes that waste your time and have nothing to do with your major.
