What College is all about!

Rating: 2/5 (28 ratings)
Introduction
First off, BSU is amazing. Now that we got that out of the way, we can get to the rest of the stuff. If you are split between BSU, IU or Purdue, I would take BSU any day of the week. I originally chose BSU because of their education program, but ended up changing my major. However BSU has more than education and nursing. It has a lot to offer!

If you are a student that likes to stay in your room all day long, not go out and make new friends - what college is all about - then don't go here.

Campus Life and Social Life
Joining a fraternity at BSU is one of the best things that I ever did. I never saw myself as the fraternity type, but its compleatly different than what you see in movies. Don't get me wrong, there are still killer parties a, but its a different kind of atmosphere. Sports suck. If you go to BSU for sports, I'm sorry but this is not your school. Clubs are ok. There are a lot to choose from, and both SGA and SRS have all of those for you.

Weekends are crazy at BSU, but you have to get out there and find the right places. A lot of first year freshmen go home on the weekends, and my advice is don't do it! You are at college for a reason, stay there. Oh, and Muncie doesn't have kegs. Sorry!
Academics
Academics are academics. If you are having a problem with a class, the learning center is great. They offer so many different tutors, and they are all free. Take advantage of that. Professors are flexible, and work with you if you just talk to them. Just remember they are people too. As for the workload, it can suck at times, but it all depends on what classes you are taking.

Student Body
Most of the students are all from the north half of Indiana. I am from Indianapolis and there are only a select few people lower than Indy. Most of the student body is white, and almost everyone is into normal college stuff.

In Closing...
BSU really has it all: the campus is great, and it's a good size for someone that doesn't want to get overwhelmed with the whole college experience.
