Baylor Bare
IntroductionBaylor is an excellent place for academics, it's a respected school by other Texas institutions and you know you'll get somewhere because of it. If you have a mean streak of independence (thought or dress) you might want to reconsider though, conservativity runs pretty thick.
Campus Life and Social LifeSocial life = Greek Life. A good deal of the student body has some sort of fraternal/sororital relationship, parties, activites, just about everything. There are a lot of campus traditional activities like X-Mas on 5th Street and Dia del Oso that are not associated with greeks though.

AcademicsBaylor is a great place for academics, probably one of the best in Texas. The course work is usually more rigorous than the surrounding state schools, but the classes are much smaller, with upper level courses being as small as 10 people.
Student BodyA "typical" student probably comes from an upper-middle class background, and most likely attends a church of some sort. Mostly Texans, though there are a good deal of California students that make their way here too.
In Closing...Usually deemed a Bible thumping school, Baylor is progressing a lot to be on equal leveling of state schools, but there are still some fundamentalist students and faculty you have to watch out for.
