BU actually has a very nice campus!!!
IntroductionBU offers the best of both worlds - both an urban and campusy feel. BU is located along the Charles River in its own 2-mile section of the city. You have lots of activity on Commonwealth Avenue and then complete solitude and quiet one block over on Bay State Road along the Charles River. I was always amazed by that. If you want a more relaxed and nicer urban setting than NY, definitely go to BU. Compared to NYU, BU's campus is Oxford.
Campus Life and Social LifeComing from NYC, I was drawn to BU's campus because I like what an urban environment has to offer but I also wanted a place where you could have quiet time and take walks along the Charles River. I lived in brownstones for two years. The brownstones are beautiful. The larger dorms enable you to meet lots of people. The variety and quality of the dining options is incredible. The ice hockey games are exciting. I enjoyed the football games (there was a football program when I attended).

AcademicsThe courseload was challenging in the School of Management. Most business school courses are taught by professors, not TAs.
Student BodyThe dorms are quiet. People are very studious.
In Closing...People who have the audacity to say negative things about a school like BU (with great academics and a nice campus given an urban environment) clearly are not happy with themselves. It's not the school. It's you.
