Good Clean Fun

Rating: 3/5 (49 ratings)
Introduction
The main advice I have is to not listen to all the talk about how BYU is a super strict school where you can never do anything. I chose BYU because it's a place where I can get a great education and have good, clean fun at the same time. I never have to worry about coming home and seeing my roommates high, or getting it on with their girlfriend in my bedroom. The only kind of person who should stay away is the type who can't keep the word of wisdom and the law of chastity. Everyone else should do just fine.

Campus Life and Social Life
As an incoming freshman, the best social life is the dorms. There are always parties and dances going down in the dorms. BYU sports is a main source of socializing with buddies and there are always parties going on at apartment complexes. There are tons of activities for outdoor fanatics all year round.

Academics
At BYU there is no such thing as an easy major. It is an academically challenging school that requires a lot of studying time if you want to do well and go to grad school. If you just want to slide by with any major, sociology is really short and so is history.

Student Body
Typical student at BYU is a white mormon in their low 20s probably middle to upper middle class. There are people from all over the world and different religions but it is predominantly white and LDS.

In Closing...
BYU is the only university I ever considered attending and I have never regretted that decision. If you want a high quality education, entertaining sports, and good clean fun, this is the place for you.
