Is the Mormon school right for you?
IntroductionStay away if you are liberal in any means. Okay...even a little less than conservative. Most kids that do well here are kind of like followers. The unique kids have a hard time fitting in. It's a great spiritual experience, but don't be surprised: some Mormon kids aren't as nice as they profess to be!
Campus Life and Social LifeThere aren't many dances, which is kind of lame. There are a lot of clubs. And most parties are prohibited because of the Honor Code (ie: no drinking, etc). And the surrounding area isn't all that exciting. But if you're really creative and find a group of fun friends., you can find some really fun things to do. Sports are a big thing... even though we aren't that great.

AcademicsWorkload is okay. Kind of stressful. Our Business/Management schools, animation, media arts, and some of our science majors are really awesome. Mostly business schools. The arts are a little weird here, for instance, because you have to censor the things that go out on stage.
Student BodyUhhh...Mormon. Duh! A lot of students are from the West Coast, a lot from Southern California. There are also a lot of students from Utah too. A typical student is a bit of a Molly/Peter, pious, dresses Mormony (big hair and all), a bit of a right-winger, and slightly close minded. Not that it's all that bad. It's just that the typical stereotype of the religion is kind of apparent here.
In Closing...It's a good experience. Come here with a good attitude (but try not to get married...avoid the periodical section in the library!). It can be a great experience if you come with the right attitude. It really can. And don't expect everyone to be perfect. It may be a Mormon school, but I even know that there are drug dealers here. No joke.
