Introduction
Just remember this is a very serious college, not a party school. Some classes will be a lot more difficult than expected. Probobaly the most important piece of advice is don't get behind. Most teachers think that their class is the most important, so do the work and they will love you!

Campus Life and Social Life
There is usually alot happening on campus, whether that be a sporting event or a free show. Most things are pretty simple and sometimes a little boring. You just have to keep your eye open for club activities and learn what the best clubs are. Get involved with the clubs. You will meet a wide variety of people and you will also get yourself out into the public. The weekends are usually busiest, especially on friday night. The only downfall is that things close down pretty early around Provo so you have to make early plans and try and find the night owl businesses.

Academics
The academics here are top notch in my book. The business and accounting schools are some of the best in the country. The music program is also really competitive. Most of the schools relatively good, however if you are looking for a acting or any other dance besides ballroom, this is probably not the school for you. From my experiance the professors are pretty nice. Just don't expect to float through the class and you will be fine. The workload really depends on the class. I have had some classes that there has been a big paper due every week and others that there is only a final. Research the professor and ask people who have been in the class. It really does help.

Student Body
The typical student at BYU is Mormon. There are people from all over and you will find a diverse range of personallities and beliefs. I think the key to getting to know what people are like and what they do is to get involved in your student ward and go to family home evening. Those are the people that you will get to know the best as well as be surrounded with the most.

In Closing...
Just remember to study and be prepared to work and have fun!
