Bucknell University: For the student who loves to party
IntroductionDon't come to this school if you aren't into high lifestyles, you won't find a lot of people to relate to around here. Come if you want a school that you can really do whatever you want in, the people that slack off and the people who try the hardest aren't really seperated when it comes to GPA, and it is easy to balance joining clubs, sports, and partying, with school, especially if you are liberal arts major. Engineers are like a cult here, so unless you LOVE engineering, don't come here planning to be one.
Campus Life and Social LifeEverything revolves around fraternities or sports teams. If you are going to a substantial party, it's probably run by a fraternity, or it's at a house downtown owned by members of a sports team. Please read the "inclosing" for more info about parties and stuff.

AcademicsYou can really be a slacker at this school and still get by. And its got a great reputation so I think it's the best of both worlds.
Student BodyThe typical student is lazy, rich, addicted to polo, lacoste and j. crew, and hails from the northeast. We really like our basketball team, but other than that, we are pretty much the norm for private northeast colleges. The girls are on average hotter than girls at other colleges, some years ago we were ranked by Playboy as having one of the Top 5 Hottest Campuses (#3).
In Closing...Many of you may have heard Bucknell has severly decreased in popularity over the past year. Some of this is true. In the first semester, one of our main party scenes, the downtown area, was heavily monitored by a new police chief looking to simply get kids in trouble. Subsequently, the students were outraged, and since then, the downtown scene has calmed down, and although it is not completely what it used to be, it is much better than it was. Bascially, for incoming students, unless you know someone, Bucknell's going to be a little hard to get around at first, especially for guys. I'm sure its the same at any college. My best advice is to join a club, a club sport team, anything where you'd interact with upperclassmen. Nearly every upperclassman is in a fraternity or sorority, so if you befriend one, you are in, in terms of parties. This is mostly advice for guys, for girls, just look sexy and you can go anywhere. That is the best I can say.
