LOVE IT

Introduction
First of all if you are not a social person dont come to chico! There are people up here that only complain and do not even go out to give it a try! If you like to have fun with thousands of other people every night of every weekend come to chico! I am a first year here living in the dorms on campus and i LOVE it! I am from San Francisco and in the beginning coming from a big city I felt that I would not like it. But after the first night i did not want to leave! I chose chico only because my mom would have made me live at home if I went to SFSU. Now it turns out that it was the best decision I have made!!!!

Campus Life and Social Life
The best parts of the social life include of course the Partying everynight if you wanted to. The best nights are thursday and friday! Seems as if the whole student body is out! The sports could be better if they had a football team. But basketball is big along with baseball! There are many clubs to join and its not hard to keep up with them! Chico is awesome! Now back to the weekends! There is plenty of drinking and plenty of drugs going on in chico. And they try and tell the parents that chico's reputation has hurt the school academically. THIS IS NOT TRUE! there are job fairs here all the time! plenty of opportunites to graduate and get a job right out of the college! But the weekends are awesome. BBut as a freshman it is a little annoying if you are a guy. There is a lot of wondering around downtown looking for a chill party. IF you are a guy then you have to be with maybe two girls to get yourself into someones backyard and every pay $3 for a cup for the rest of the night for the keg. But thats per party. Girls, you dont usually need cash. either they will give you a cup for free or a guy will spot you! but make sure you are in groups. at least be with one other person guys have one guy friend. girls should usually be in groups of 4 to be sure to be safe. There is not much but sometime the high schoolers try and jump the frosh college kids, however they roll in tens. (that means a group of 10 against you). so be safe Advertisement
Academics
The communication class i have sucks. but my math class is awesome! and i hate math but i am good at talking. So just depends on the teacher! i have not had a TA yet. workload now is pretty low. work is easily doable. just gotta see what you get. Just if you know you are NOT an early person! do not take a 8am class! cause if you drink the night before, which is very likely you will not get up and your teacher may drop you! even if you miss one class the first week of classes!!!

Student Body
WOW. its awesome! Being a guy from frisco and seeing socal girls! wow dude! it was amazing. my mom said to me when we went up for orientation, "i dont know if i want you here." cause she saw some of the girls. so guys you will be happy! girls you will find a few tooo! just dont expect to have a full on relationship up here the first year. prolly wont work!

In Closing...
WHEN YOU SIGN UP FOR DORMS!!!!! MAKE SURE YOU DO IT WITHING THE FIRST 45 MIN OF OPENING ONLINE! DO NOT WAIT! YOU WILL BE PLACED IN A DORM OR APT. VERY FAR AWAY! AND BRING A BIKE UNLESS YOUR ARE ON CAMPUS! YOU WILL WANT IT!
