Introduction
The beauty of Central is that any personality type can fit in here. There is a little of something for everyone, and class size is about perfect. Professors are passionate about their subjects, and it really shows when they go out of their way to help students.

Campus Life and Social Life
The best part about social life is there is an abundance of quality bars, clubs, and restaurants to go to only minutes from campus. You can walk anywhere in Mount Pleasant and it is always downhill. The worst part is WINTER! Everyone disappears into hibernation, however school is NEVER cancelled. But all in all CMU is an exciting and crazy place to live and party. Advertisement
Academics
I have only had personal experience with the IET (industrial ed) and Education departments, but both are top class. Advisors are always available to answer questions and will encourage you in your field of study.

Student Body
Well, most students are middle class white kids from small Michigan schools... There is little diversity amongst the student body, but there are few problems with racism, and prejudice. Diversity education is a strong point for CMU, and most residence halls and classrooms do their part to encourage diversity.

In Closing...
I would strongly reccomend Central to any prospective student, especially one who doesn't know what they want to major/minor in. CMU lets you experience a little of everything! A+ Central, A+.
