I love Colby

Introduction
I chose Colby because it felt like home. Now I don't want to graduate. Pretty much everyone can fit in here... except perhaps people with absolutely no sense of humor. Tidbits you'll need to know: if a student says "Bob's" he/she means Roberts, The Street is the bottom floor of the library, Frat Row isn't really frats (well, it used to be, but isn't anymore), the theater's haunted (but every theater has its ghost), and it gets COLD in the winter. Very, VERY cold.

Campus Life and Social Life
There's a club for pretty much everything. There's guaranteed to be parties every weekend, and there are more themed dances (some enormously fun, and some just lame) than at most schools. The greatest thing is if you drink, you can drink, and if you don't, you can drink Coke. You don't even need to pretend there's rum in it. Chem free is awesome. We also get cool concerts and things...Maroon 5 came here, Dane Cook came here, Margaret Cho came here...They play free movies on the big screen. Basically anything you like to do, you can find someone to do it with. Advertisement
Academics
Well, I'm a bit biased, but the Bio department does rock. I've also heard that the Econ. department is one of the best in the country. I also love the Theater department, though I'm not sure how good it is compared to others. The professors are wonderful all around. I visited one professor when I was a prospective student, and 2 years later when I had him for class, he remembered my name. TAs are just other undergrads, and extremely approachable.

Student Body
"Hi, my name's Kate and I'm from Massachusetts." Really, if you're NOT from Mass. we LOVE you. Other than that... we have students who are interested in anything you'd care to name.
