IntroductionHoly Cross is such an awesome place. It's welcoming, noncompetitive, and fosters a sincere love of learning. It's a great place to go to college, but college is always going to be what you make of it. The opportunities for academic and personal enrichment here are pretty much limitless, but you've got to reach out and take advantage of them. The opportunities to work and study abroad at Holy Cross are particularly exceptional. The winters are cold but manageable.
Campus Life and Social LifeHoly Cross is a great school for those willing to get wrapped up in campus life and activities - there are very few non-collegiate establishments close to campus to hang out at or go to for entertainment. If you want a close-knit group of intelligent people, this is a great place to be.
AcademicsBring together an amazingly knowledgeable, accomplished, and caring faculty, a brilliant, unpretentious, and fun-loving student body, a breadth of experiences, interests, and talents, the opportunity to study and perform research around the world, and a supportive, exceedingly beautiful physical and natural college campus, and what do you get? The best undergraduate experience in the world, seriously!
Student BodyComing to Holy Cross is the best decision I've made thus far in my life. The quality of the education that everyone receives, coupled with the close student-faulty interaction and fellowship fostered on the campus makes for a unique experience in and of itself. However, as has been my experience, the friendships you make at HC and the tone of the campus through which these friendships are formed, and the boundlessness of off-campus and research opportunities makes the HC Experience the best college experience in North America and perhaps the world. Truly, HC's brilliant faculty and student body, and the connections you make with them--and such a beautiful environment--inspires a love of collaboration and creativity.
In Closing...The way the curriculum is set up, the school enables students to study every subject obtain a real liberal arts education. The students are in no way snooty or arrogant as I expected. The social life is excellent. Great School.
