IntroductionIf you are considering Colorado State... good for you. You have decided to look into a school that is amazing. I chose State myself for several reasons. The first is the location- Fort Collins is awesome. While being a big town, it retains a small town feel, and the people are so nice and friendly. Another reason I chose C State is the school... we have amazing programs, small classes, and great professors. The entire experience is amazing. Anyone can come to CSU, regardless of race or preference, class or even something as trivial as music choices. The campus is so open to everyone, you would not be disappointed.
Campus Life and Social LifeThe weekends in Fort Collins are crazy. We have two great venues that always have awesome bands. Old Town, in the center of Fort Collins is great for shopping, eating, or just taking a nice walk. Campus also offers alot of great things to do. The Live Life Late program has activities all the time. The Lory Student Center is open late, so you can go there, or if you need to study, the library is comfortable and open late as well. And... We are one of the top fifteen party schools in the nation. Enough said.

AcademicsWhen people tell you that college is easy... they lied. There is a lot of reading, and a lot of homework, and tests can be killer. But it's not as if you are alone in your effort. Your friends are going through the same things, and it is awesome to make study groups and chill with your buddies and get your work done at the same time. Some professors are great, and some professors... aren't so great. But That's just like any other school. You have to work through it. But if you ever need help, most professors and TA's are really willing to help you. The Anthropology Department, (of which I am a student) is great.
Student BodyOne of the best parts of the CSU campus is that there is no way that you can put a finger on the "typical" college student here. Everyone is so different. You will find people of dozens of nationalities, from every state, all colors, shapes, sizes, preferences.... The school is truly a melting pot. I have learned so much moving to this campus from a small town. You get to glimpse into so many different ways of life. But, mostly, the people here are friendly. Holding open a door, saying please and thank you... things that you can't always find in other places.
In Closing...I would just have to say that I think you are a smart cookie for looking into CSU. Best of luck to anyone doing the college search- it can be crazy!
