New York Baby

Introduction
Columbia is a pretty awesome school. No, they don't hold your hand through anything and you're on your own most of the time, but that's part of the beauty. The school forces you to become independent and to pave your own path.

Campus Life and Social Life
The campus is small, but pretty great for New York City. There are some frats, and people party in their dorms, but a lot of the partying goes on at the local bars like Nachos and the West End. Lots of people also go to the clubs downtown and party there. Overall, people are pretty friendly. There are lots of different groups of people here and there's really a group for everyone.

Academics
Kids here work really hard. The libraries are always bustling with students. The professors are really great and cool and the T.A.s are mainly just there to help out, not to really teach the classes. By the way, the CORE is pretty serious, so don't come here if you don't want to be forced to get a well rounded liberal arts education.

Student Body
There's a mix of everyone. A lot of people are from the East Coast, but the school also prides itself on diversity so you'll be meeting people from probably every state plus tons of different countries.
