Introduction
I choose Cornell because I'm from the south and I really wanted to try something new, and I came to visit and I fell in love with the campus. It just clicked. Huge buildings and lots of big open space. I was so amazed at how on top of things Cornell was, whether it be the food or classes or activities and clubs for everything, so I just felt like I could find my niche here.

Campus Life and Social Life
When I came here we were ranked no.2 in college dining hall food, I think we are ranked no. 5 now. There's 2 freshman dining halls up on north campus and there is everything. It's a little overwhelming especially when you get here at first because there is so much food I would walk around for like the first 7 mins. And just try to figure out what I wanted to eat. I was really impressed with how diverse the food is. There’s a kosher section and they always have an Asian section which is amazing. Sunday brunch is everybody’s favorite because you can get pancake's to order, you can get omelette’s to order and there’s fresh fruit. Even if you're not on the meal plan you’ll still go back for Sunday brunches.

Academics
I think it’s 30 % of all students are in Greek life. They tend to stick together a lot, so there is a little segregation between Greek community and non-Greek community. Most people do rush in the spring of your freshman year. Spring of my freshman year was such an exciting time. That’s when I got to meet different people because living in the dorm most of my friends where the peope that I lived around. So by rushing I meet all these girls from different houses and then I meet their friends. It was nice, it expanded my social scene much more than it had been. Party scene, a lot of it is Greek life. First semester there’s a lot more open parties than second semester, so for the people that aren’t in the Greek scene I think they party a lot more in their rooms.Bars are huge but college town is really strict on ID’s, so you either have to have a really good ID or you have to wait until your 21 to go.

Student Body
Everybody does have a little bit of nerd in them, that’s how we got here, we worked really hard, but there are a lot of people who do go to the library a lot. Our libraries are open 24 hours a day every day. They say Cornell is the easiest Ivy League school to get into but the hardest to stay in, which I would totally agree with.Grading is hard, classes are very challenging, but you can also find people that do like to party a lot more. There are those people that can party all the time and still manage to do pretty well in school, so there’s a balance of people. There’s definitely more bookworms than party animals, but you can find those people.
