Dartmouth is sweet

Rating: 1.1/5 (87 ratings)
Introduction
I wanted a small liberal arts school or an ivy. I love the outdoors and I like tight knit communities where you are always meeting new people. Pretty much I knew this place was sweet... in every aspect... I wanted to go to this school since freshman year of high school and it has surpassed my expectations. It really has everything anyone could want out of a college experience- there really isnt any reason to stay away from this school... really.... there is something for everyone...

Campus Life and Social Life
The best is it is ridiculous- you dont have to pay for alcohol- people here are a lot of fun- the frat scene is great- i thought i was going to be kind of anti-frat but then i realized it is just like a really sweet house party the cops cant bust. If you dont drink there are tons of other events going on every night- i can never find time for all the stuff I want to do-
on weekends you can party and hang out on the green- go to the city if you want but people really take advantage of what dartmouth has to offer- i love skiing and climbing and such so i go do those things with all the trips the DOC offers and i am also on the sailing team- i have never really wanted to go to the city on weekends- dartmouth has everything you would need plus more...
clubs here are awesome- really easy to join and meet people- tons of free food yum. -relaxed atmosphere but also the most amazing clubs in the US- i am in the college democrats and just today i met obama for the third time and have been invited to personal coctail parties of presidential canidates and to their house to watch the superbowl- i am only a freshmen and get to have all these connections just because the club is that sweet.
Academics
The school's academics are amazing. I have never met teachers that care more about their students- distinguised professors will spend hours helping one student- class sizes are small and intimate- my professors from my first class at dartmouth still remember everything about me- my dean takes me out to lunch and remembers every detail i tell her- TAs are also really amazing.. - workload is not bad at all and we only take three classes a term.
language here is really good.. actually all departments are good- and you can go onto dartmouths site when you are a student and get the low down on what classes are sweet and what not so you never end up with a bad choice

Student Body
it sort of just asked this question...
people here are really diverse but everyone seems to get along really well- i wouldnt have said this about everyone in my high school but here everyone i meet is pretty awesome and people are all for meeting new people. The frat scene is a good way to meet people and you can jump from frat to frat to check out the scene (no money!)- the sports teams and clubs i am on are really chill and have excellent people.
weekends are not the only time we hang out and party- we have class only three days a week (9 hours total of class a week) so we party monday, wed, friday, saturday

In Closing...
come here if you are a chill person and are looking for an awesome school! it being an ivy is simply a sidenote.
