Flawed but fabulous

Introduction
Davidson is difficult. It is one of the reasons I came here, and also the main reason I have stress. It is an excelent college- but it also means that the focus is on the academics, and not sports or extracurriculars. Sometimes it can be a bit isolated if you don't take the time to get off campus- Davidson is very good at being self sufficent, and it is easy to forget that there is a bigger world outside of the campus. One of the things I love and get frustrated with is Davidson's size. Everyone knows everyone... so that means that gossip is rampant. However, it is also a friendly campus where everyone lends a helping hand. If you have probems, all you have to do is ask for help. I love Davidson, but it definitely takes a specific kind of person to love it.

Campus Life and Social Life
School spirt is quirky. A lot of people are passionate about Davidson, but we show it in different ways than homecomming or sports. Davidson isn't a party campus, but most people "Study hard and party harder." It means that there is drinking, though most people drink responsibly. Parties are great, and for people who aren't interested in that secene there are lots of other things to do. Advertisement
Academics
The workload is killer. When finals and midterms are being taken, life comes to a stop. Most of the departments are good on campus, and as always there are teachers you like and don't like. Most of the classes are taught by Professors and classes are on the small side, so there is no way that you can get by not doing readings and homework. It is really easy to fall behind, and the key to succeeding with the academic workload at Davidson is organization.

Student Body
Everyone here is friendly, and there really isn't a typical type of student. It is pretty diverse, however, we are working on getting more minorities on campus. Even though Davidson is a smaller school, we have lots of different clubs and organizations to get involved in.

In Closing...
Davidson, for all it's faults is an excelent school. I love it here.
