NO TAs!

Rating: 5/5 (68 ratings)
Introduction
I chose Drake mainly because of it's size. I like the small class sizes and the personal attention you receive from professors. A student who should stay away from this school is someone who doesn't plan on attending classes because professors do take attendance. Also a student who likes a lot of school spirit wouldn't like it here because most students do not attend sporting events and we don't have a lot of school spirit.

Campus Life and Social Life
There is no college town, so there are only a couple places that are walking distance from campus. However, if you don't have a car it's not a big deal because you are bound to have a friend that does. There are always parties on Greek street. As far as bars and clubs you mostly have to drive to them and they aren't that big of a deal.

Academics
I have liked all of the departments that I have classes in. There are no TAs so you always have great professors that have had experience in the working world and you learn a lot of valuable information from them.

Student Body
Most students are from the midwest, mostly from the chicagoland area and Iowa. Everyone is very relaxed and it is not a popularity contest. Most students dress comfortably and no one really feels out of place.

In Closing...
I love Drake and I would reccomend this school to anyone who wants to learn a lot and get a great education. Professors really care about you here and take the time to help you out. Most professors give out their home phone numbers and don't mind if you use them. All the professors try and help you even if it has no relation to their class.
