A school for the underprivileged and underachievers
IntroductionI chose this school because of its location and its high acceptance rates. If you live in the Southeast Michigan area and you have awful grades, this is the school for you. Otherwise, go somewhere that involves a serious education.
Campus Life and Social LifeSince EMU is largley a commuter school, it is relativley quiet on the weekeneds. There are frats and thus frat parties, but I would suggest going up to Ann Arbor to party.

AcademicsAside from a pretty good education department, an okay buisness school, and a good Japanese program, Eastern Michigan University is not the place to go for a serious education.
Student BodyA majority of the students at EMU are from the surrounding Wastenaw/Wayne County area. The rate of African Americans is higher than average, and the population is about 60% female.
In Closing...Like I said, if you have nowhere else to go, this is a prety good transfer school at the least. If you have the grades and the money to get into another school, try MSU, Grand Valley, or U of M.
