More than just a pretty campus

Rating: 2.1/5 (70 ratings)
Introduction
Everyone will think the school is pretty, but consider the more important features of college before choosing the school. Is it affordable? Can you earn scholarships and get in on your merit? Can you put up with living near nothing else (if you don't have a car)? Does the school have strong academic departments in your major field(s)? For me, the answers to these questions were all yes.

Campus Life and Social Life
Clubs and sports are the best. If you can get involved in clubs, then you can go on weekend trips to conferences in many cases. It certainly helps to get out of the bubble, where there can be very little going on during the weekends for those who don't drink.

Academics
The best departments are communications, education, foreign languages, and business. I don't know much about the other departments. TAs are only present in math or science classes, really. The workload is always manageable.

Student Body
We have diversity among white people, pretty much. All different white people from different states come together at Elon. There are too many girls, and the guys are either gay or rapists.

In Closing...
If you seek out the resources that you want at Elon, you will find them.
