The Review
IntroductionIf you are the type of person who can sit around and play video games all day then you should come here. If you like to drink and party then you should come here. If you like to just chill then you will like it here If you like sports and that is important to you in a college don't come here. Our best sport is women's softball. We don't have a football or hockey team and our basketball team sucks the fat one because our two leading scorers were arrested for breaking and entering.
Campus Life and Social LifeWeekends are cool. There are a lot of bars that let underage people drink and liquor stores that accept fake IDs so you can get booze easily (although not cheaply). If you don't drink the school sets up things every Thursday-Saturday that you can do and sometimes they are actually quite enjoyable. We had a make your own street sign day and just last week these Tibetan monks made an intricate design out of sand that took 5 days and then they destroyed it. It was cool

AcademicsThe workload is not bad at all. I do less work than all my friends from high school (except one but he's an athlete at Monmouth). All classes are taught by professors and they are small classes so it's good if you need personal attention to learn. The business school is the best...seriously, and also I hear the nursing school is good too but I'm an accounting major. Don't come here for history or languages or something like that. Stick to science (bio, chem,etc...) or business. But, don't be a dumbass and major in management, seriously that's stupid.
Student BodyThe tri-state area and Massachusetts = 80% of people here. The school is 95% white and many kids here are very, very wealthy. People play poker, watch movies, there's a beach nearby that people go to, video games, a lot more people smoke than I thought would. Some people think Fairfield is preppy but it's really not too bad. If you went to public school you won't feel out of place at all. Most people are Yankee fans and that sucks because I like the Red Sox.
In Closing...The campus is beautiful and I love the professors. You know how in high school they always say something like "you professor doesn't know your name or care about you in college?" Well that isn't true at all here. All my professors learned my name and care a great deal about how you are doing, and not just in their class. They are very understanding and readily accessible. Many cool people come here and any person will find something they like and can run with it.
