Florida Tech - Socially Impaired

Rating: 2/5 (100 ratings)
Introduction
I think they accidentally named this school FIT instead of Auschwitz Tech. I only choose this school because it was close. The pamphlets and brochures portray the school with nice buildings on a tropical campus. The reality is that this campus does not have much to offer. I would not reccomend this college to anybody who does not like small campuses and a social scene that consists of zombies walking to and from class.

Campus Life and Social Life
The campus is tiny. The social life is completely dead and I don't find the people there outgoing. Mel-boring aka Melbourne is not a college friendly town. When you come to this school be prepared to sit in your asbestos infested dorm and do nothing. Your McDonalds quality food is served by somebody who hates their job. Don't expect a wild party scene. People here use alcohol only to drink away the homesickness. As far as clubs, they are worthless. FIT remains undefeated because of their lack of sports. Girls are almost non-existant at FIT.

Academics
The academics are average. Don't expect ivy league from this place. The computer science department is probably the schools strong point. Some professors and TA's are great, others not so great, and some can't speak english.

Student Body
Socially impaired zombies. I must emphasize that girls do not exist on campus or anywhere in Mel-boring.

In Closing...
Not the place to come if you don't want a small campus with a ghost town social life. This school is way too expensive for what its worth.
