A Drinking School
IntroductionFSU is a drinking school. While I was there the football team was subpar but the drinking was unbelievable. Its academics are decent, some departments are pretty good, others suck. If you can get Bright Futures you should go there. UF is supposedly a better school academically but I didn't like it because UF and Gainesville in general reminded me of high school. FSU has all types of students (drunken dudes, whores, intellectuals, Asians, etc...) so I think most people would fit in there. Tallahasse is the capital of Florida so it is like a real city, not just a college town.
Campus Life and Social LifeThe partying is insane. Under 21 you can go to basically any party you want, just show up randomly, no one cares. The parties are everywhere too. I lived in the dorm freshman year and still hang out with all the people I hung out with then. I would highly recommend it. Once you turn 21 there are way too many bars to not go out drinking. I didnt realize it until I graduated and left town that it has to be the cheapest drinking city in the country.

AcademicsChoose a math related major. Physics, engineering , math etc... They are good departments with smart professors. All the stupid majors (English, writing, psychology, etc...) are full of douches. I had a math degree and was turning really great job offers down because I had an awesome one. Everyone else I know is basically doing shit with their diploma.
Student BodyAll sorts of students from all parts of the country/world. Lots of sluts
In Closing...The administration at FSU is completely incompetent. The most difficult part of going to school there is jumping through all the hoops (paperwork, making sure the employees don't screw up, taking the classes you need to graduate not the ones your advisor said you need, etc...). I spent more time will bullshit stuff (filling out paperwork multiple times and calling advisors, etc...) to make sure they took care of what they told me they would) then I did going to class or studying.
