A school that provides the doors to be opened

Rating: 5/5 (2 ratings)
Introduction
Florida State has a beautiful campus with GOOD academics as opposed to the "ratings" given on this site saying it's academics are average while UCF and New College and USF and FAU are "solid" academics even though those colleges are third tier rated schools and FSU is first tier.

Campus Life and Social Life
FSU is known, with UF, as a "party school". Which is true to some extent. There is a lot of partying, but many people also aren't party animals (like me) and there are loads to do with like minded people.

Academics
I would say the best academics are the Business fields and Arts fields. FSU is one of the top 25 schools that are targeted by THE Accounting firms (the Big 4), and its Business programs are nationally ranked. And of course its music and film and theater programs are among the best in the nation. The science fields, especially Chemistry (which has a new building) and the pre-law program is very decent as well.

Student Body
There are people who treat school like summer camp and will probably not be at school for long, there are others who study somewhat and party a lot, and there are others who study a lot and focus really hard while fun takes a back seat. There are hundreds of clubs ranging from political clubs, honors societies and of course sports and Greek life (which is pretty big on campus).

In Closing...
Florida State has everything for everyone. They have a great career center which is great at landing internships, a fantastic study abroad program, and a great party life if you are into that. It has everything for everyone, it depends on the person to be successful, FSU provides all of the tools to make it happen.
