Never go home for the summer
IntroductionCome here for preview in the spring time and you'll be hooked, though make sure you confirm admission early or it may be difficult to get housing. FSU has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. I've met hundreds of awesome people and have a blast every day of the week. If you're not very social and your wardrobe tends to contain a lot of black...then this probably isn't the school for you. The weather is way too nice outside to be in your dorm for anything but sleep...that is, of course, if you're not sleeping at someone else's!
Campus Life and Social LifeWeekends start on Tuesday and end Sunday night, though there was a keg dropped at the pool Monday afternoon in celebration of the beautiful weather and beautiful girls. There's a decent sporting event to go to year round, mainly football, basketball, and baseball, which all always have good attendance. If you're lucky enough you might even score a seat next to one of the "FSU Cowgirls". (If you're not sure who they are, and you're male, google it).

AcademicsI'm in the Business School and have had no problems. More great teachers than subpar ones.
Student BodyMost of the students are from Florida, but venture down from up North even though they may not know anybody when they get here. My advice would be: if you're coming here without knowing anybody, make sure to live in the dorms at least the first year and get involved with some sort of organization. Fraternities and sororities may seem superficial to some, though everyone should always rush at least once because being involved is a lot of fun. With many of the houses, it is very obvious the exact type of person they're looking for...with others, there's more diversity. It just depends on the kind of people you feel comfortable around.
In Closing...No matter what your interests or personality, FSU is sure to please!
