Furman = Amazing
IntroductionFurman is an amazing environment. It is the size of some big high schools and I really like that. You get to know professors on both a professional and personal level. If you are a hardcore partier, I would say to stay away from Furman. We do have parties, yes, but at times it is really hard to go out. If you are solely basing your choice of college on education, you couldn't get a better one than Furman in the South. We have an over 70% acceptance to Med Schools and an over 90% acceptance to Law Schools. What more could you want?!
Campus Life and Social LifeCampus life is fun. It involves the students and we have pretty awesome concerts here. We've had Howie Day, Ben Folds, and John Mayer come in the past. The sports are pretty good especially the football. The football team has made it into the playoffs a lot in the past couple years, last year making it into the semi-final of the National I-AA football division. Our frat parties are fun to go to, but there are not many clubs around here. Charlotte and Atlanta are not that far away, though, so if you just want a day to go out partying, it's worth it.

AcademicsI would not say there is one department on this campus that I've heard bad things about. The best departments are the Chemistry, Psychology, and Political Science. The professors are pretty good, and we don't have TAs, which is the best. You are learning from actual professors who care about you and not just research or stuff they are doing on the side, Furman is not an easy school and you have to be willing to work hard. There really is engaged learning here.
Student BodyThe typical student at Furman is pretty down-to-earth and friendly. The people here are also very intelligent and intriguing. We get people from all over the country here which is nice, and we also get lots of people from around the world. We're not nerds, and we know how to have a good time.
In Closing...Furman really is awesome, and the campus is GORGEOUS!! I have yet to see a campus prettier than this one!
