Introduction
GW is an amazing city school with a campus environment feeling. Washington DC is a great city with endless possibilities. What other school puts you so close to the White House, Congress and some really great bars? Socially the school is unbelievable. Although the club/bar scene is the main staple, frats parties to occur. If I had to do it all over again I’d make the same choice to attend GW.

Campus Life and Social Life
Best things: 1) there are so many clubs and bars that are promoted each night of the week 2) you can always find someone to go out with almost any night of the week 3) there are tons of student organizations promoting around campus 4) there's a great attendance at the basketball games--we're rated #19! 5) frats and sororities have date parties and formals that are held at clubs .

worst things: 1) little frat scene at frat houses 2) majority of people here are from the northeast so people do go home often 3) only respect for basketball players no other athletes Academics
1)there are some easy classes to take to help ones GPA 2) the political science program is top rated and there's great access to politics b/c of the city we're in 3) I’ve noticed that for finals the professors make you learn so much info and then the tests are easy

worst 1) bad advising if you haven't decided your major yet 2) not many class options 3) not many major options 4) signing up for classes is a pain

Student Body
There is no typical student here. Every personality type exists although; one thing I’ve noticed is that the school isn't as diverse as it claims. The majority of the school is white, wealthy and from the northeast. Overall, everyone here is extremely friendly and polite.

In Closing...
GW is such an amazing school for a certain person. Make sure you're into politics and activism here. This is a very political school! If you like the club scene, walking, and good academics this is definitely the place for you.
