Go Eagles!
IntroductionThis Days, admission standards in colleges and universities are getting stricter, and Georgia Southern University's admission standards don't fall behind, are being elevated year after year.
There are a wide selection of majors, (most likely professional programs) which have a much stricter admission standard than the regular one (Nursing for example). So if you're interested in Georgia Southern keep your grades up!
Campus Life and Social LifeBoth Social and Campus Life are great! Statesboro is a true college town that is growing year after year, and the social life continues to be incredibly awesome!! You will never get bored here at night, due to the lack of activities you will find (Bars, Clubs, Parties, etc.)Simply, THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING GOING ON IN THE 'BORO!
If you're the kind of person that likes to party, GSU is the school for you. Weekends begin from Thursdays, all the way to Sunday!. There is a famous slogan between students that says "Thursday is the new Friday", since everyone goes out beginning Thursday. Also, about 40% of students do not have classes on Friday!

AcademicsClasses here are somehow very intense. Professors, Instructors, etc, know what they're doing. Most Professors involve students in their reasearch, as a way to make the class more reasonable for them.
Student BodyThe typical students at GSU are Causcasian/White, mostly from Georgia. There are several Out-of Staters, and others from almost 100 countries. I have seen that in the past years, admission officers travel to a lot of countries in order to recruit students. And all that has shown positive results, as there are nearly 2,000 international students now. When I came, there were no more than 950.
In Closing...I never showed any interest in Georgia Southern, but I visited the web and got interested by the days. Now, I don't regret being here, since it is the best college experience I've had.
