Putting It Together
IntroductionRelax. Take the time to really enjoy your time at Gordon. When I arrived, I knew what I was there to study, but the majority of your incoming class will change their minds three times before finally picking a major. Just relax. The faculty and staff are there to help you succeed, so take advantage of their guidance. You don't have to make up your mind right away.
Campus Life and Social LifeIf you're looking for wild and crazy drunken orgies, Gordon is not your school. As a Christian institution, you're not allowed to smoke, drink, or possess alcohol on campus. However, the Gordon scene is a lot of fun. Campus Events Council does a lot to encourage students to get out and mingle. There is always something going on.
The college offers a wide variety of on and off campus. Ministry opportunities, sports, intramurals, clubs, and other social gatherings and groups exist for every interest. Your only excuse for being bored and unconnected is yourself. Gordon is a great place for community.

AcademicsVery challenging. Gordon is one of the hardest schools in the country and it shows. I was a Youth Ministries major and is by far the best in the country and the school. The amount of community you develop within the major is great. Every department has its highs and lows, so it depends on where your tastes lie. I'd say there's probably only one good Philosophy professor, though, so that's a black mark on that department.
Student BodyMost students are Christians and come from Christian homes. The average Gordon student has a really good sense of humor and is looking to have a good time. Not that academics aren't important, but when you live on a campus of 1600 students from all over the world, it's hard to just sit in your room and study the entire time. Students at Gordon know how to have fun.
In Closing...Go and experience it for a weekend and see if you don't love it. Trust God and enjoy the experience of your time at Gordon. Time spent here has been three of the best years of my life so far, without doubt. I have made lifelong friends here.
