The Alumni Network

Rating: 2/5 (1 ratings)
Introduction
Alumni its definitely part of the admissions, it would be foolish to say that it’s not.
The networking is huge at Harvard…especially at Harvard there’s alumni that can definitely do and can hook you up with internships. Especially they have a lot of alumni events and you know if you’re part of like a specific team or anything you can definitely, you end up running into those alumni.

Campus Life and Social Life
Freshman housing is amazing. I’m in such a sweet room right now. My roommates are awesome but the dorms, we have two bedrooms, a huge common room, our own bathroom and like it’s just so sweet. We have two huge couches in there and it’s like kind of too sweet, too good because you know freshman housing compared to sophomore housing, it’s not comparable at all.
Academics
It’s a sweet dining service. They offer us everything. Anywhere from like tofu, vegetarian food, salad bar. You know fish, chicken, everything, everyday basically. It gets a little redundant. Any place where you’re have massive quantities of food produced, its not going to be the quality that you want if you go to like a sit down restaurant. I can eat a lot, I can go up as many times as I want, you know you swipe in once and you can go up 3 or 4 times. Other schools sometimes you have a specific amount of money or credits but ours you can go in 3 or 4 times in that lunch period.

Student Body
Meeting friends is really easy but it also depends on the type of person you are, your personality, but like you know if you the type of person that wants to meet people it’s really, really easy. Like if you get involved that’s one way to meet people, your dorm’s one way, I’m have a small dorm so I meet everyone there and friends with them. There’s like a 60% crowd that’s just great people, they’re very personable and just down to earth.
Probably like 25% like go out and like party the usually party nights for college like Thursday, Friday, Saturday. The girls here are all nice and I think it’s really shallow to just go on looks and stuff. Everyone here has a great personality, you can always like find someone to date and stuff. There’s tons of like random hookups and stuff. For freshman guys it’s tough because we have these things called finals club, which is like frats but a lot more elitist and they don’t allow any freshman guys to come in, but they allow all the freshman girls and any girl they want in. So freshman year for a guy’s kind of tough.
