A Second Home
IntroductionHofstra is a wonderful school, no matter what your major or interest. It's diverese, huge, and lot of activities available on campus for you apart from academics. As an international student i thought it would be hard for me to settle in and start a new life, but once i came to Hofstra I felt right at home.. :)
Campus Life and Social LifeWhen it comes to the Hofstra's social life i would say that apart from diffferent activities held on campus everyday, we have a lot of other facilities off-campus very close. We have the mall and the movie theatres 10 mins away and ride to the beach on a nice summer day 20 mins away. There's always something that is going on. As a commuter i spend most of my time on campus..

AcademicsWhen it comes to academics, Hofstra's academics in the past three years that I have been here have improved tremendoulsy. It keeps getting better and better. We have the best of faculty and staff available. Always ready to help students out with any kind of issues and problems. Being a Business student, most of my time is spent in the business school with my professors. Workload at times can get to be too much if you dont manage it well.
Student BodyIt is really hard to describe a "typical" student, Hofstra is soo diverse and filled with students all around the nation and the world. You get to meet different kinds of people coming from different backgrounds and cultures. I would say that Hofstra is a melting pot of culture.
In Closing...As a graduating senior, I would say the I will miss Hofstra tremendously. It's been an amazing fun loving experince. I am thinking about pursuing my MBA from Hofstra after a few years of work experience. Hofstra has been great help to me. I have grown a lot coming form a different country, learning a completely new lifestyle, making so many friends and building a huge network :)
