State of the Union

Rating: 2/5 (97 ratings)
Introduction
I picked Indiana for the Big Ten experience. I like going to a big school with a nice campus and good sports and a lot of diversity.

Bloomington is an awesome college town. It’s built around the students. Everything caters to the students. There are a lot of fun great things to do.

Our Union is huge. It’s awesome. I mean we have a bowling alley in there. We have a pool room, tons of restaurants. It’s a hotel inside the Union.

The Union is like the prime spot for everybody to stop in the middle of their day. Get food you know or relax for a little while in-between classes and all that. It’s just an awesome, awesome place.

Campus Life and Social Life
On game days everybody’s out, you know tailgating, BBQing. Everybody goes to every game. You know daily I’m guaranteed to be wearing something Indiana as well as everybody else.

Everybody always goes to class wearing their Indiana stuff. Everybody’s RA RA for the school. And its really, it’s an awesome school for going to sports and you know school spirit especially.

You don’t need to have a girlfriend to have fun here. You can come home with a different girl every night if you so choose. There are plenty of beautiful women here.

Especially around lil 500 week, everything revolves around the Greek life which is coming up next week.

Academics
This semester I have all lecture style classes. 100 or more people per class. Workload is not terrible.

Usually during the week, I do 1-2 to maybe 3 hours a night. Maybe the night before a test some more extra hours in the library. The workload’s not terrible you just have to have really good time management and you’ll get by perfectly fine.

Mostly everybody drinks here. There’s plenty of people smoking pot. ..Primarily everybody’s drinking 3,4,5 nights a week.

Student Body
Living on campus was a much different experience than living off campus.

The music and general studies program is really awesome. It’s not that hard to get and the classes are interesting.

In Closing...
Such a fun campus, almost every night of the week there’s something to do if you want to have a good social life.
