The Full Report

Introduction
I originally decided to come to Indiana for the journalism school.

Indiana definitely has a diverse population, an international population.

There are people from the east coast, west coast.

The newspaper is student run, so basically it’s like working for a real newspaper.

At the Journalism school they really encourage you to do internships and their really helpful with helping you find them.

Campus Life and Social Life
The dating scene here is definitely interesting.

I definitely think the bars are stricter here than in some other college towns. I think they really started cracking down a few years ago.

The bar scene’s really big. Since it’s now a dry campus. You pretty much need an ID.

There are a lot of choices, where you can go. You can go through Indiana or not through Indiana and still get crowded.

Academics
I think Indiana is definitely a more challenging school academically that most people anticipate when they come here. I think it’s a lot easier to get in than stay in.

I definitely have had a lot of friends who have fallen through the cracks in the past year or two.

I think it depends on what you major in though. If you’re a business major in Kelly it going to be a lot harder than apparel merchandising.

Student Body
You can definitely work and play at the same time. It’s not that difficult to have a good balance. I like that about this school. You can do both.

In Closing...
It’s a good school. There are some really good departments. The Kelly school is amazing, the journalism school. Telecommunications program is state of the art. All the equipment is constantly being updated.
