You Won't Get Lost...

Introduction
This University has a lot of education majors and majors in the areas of arts. Kent has many majors and minors that are unique, such as Applied Comflict Managment as a major and Gay, Lesbian, bisexual, and transgender studies as a minor. KSU is the second largest University in Ohio, but it is not so big that you would get lost easily.

Campus Life and Social Life
There are a lot of clubs and places to hang out in downtown Kent. There are also some very good places to get a bit to eat. Most party is done on Thursday nights though, because A LOT of people go home on the weekends and leave on Friday after classes. The campus does seem empty on the weekends, but there re still things to do. There are plenty of intramural sports to take part in at our wonderful rec center. Our varsity football team is absolutely horrible, but the basketball and volleyball teams are pretty good. Advertisement
Academics
I am in the education department and math department at KSU and they are both pretty good programs. The education department could use a little more organization thought. All of my experiences have been pretty positive in all of my areas. The languages department is very organized and focused, they were very helpful when I was deciding my minor. The workload is as hard as you want it to be. If you stay along with the course well the workload soes not get too messy. Most professors are pretty good. I have had a couple though who were not close to their students at all. It was hard to ask them questions because they made me feel stupid when I asked them a question.

Student Body
A typical student at Kent State is mainly from Ohio and the surrounding states. We do have some international students and our University is very diverse. They can be into all different types of things, there are hundreds of clubs and sports on campus from belly dancing lessons to the underwater basket weaving club. If you are into it, we probably have it.

In Closing...
In closing, Kent State is not the best school, but there are schools that are plenty worse.
