Kenyon is AWESOME!

Introduction
Kenyon has moved from a back-up school to student's first choice. Kenyon is a Very selective, liberal Arts College with an acceptance rate of 34%. You definetly have to be a well-rounded student with a lot to offer to Kenyon. Everyone here is different. I chose to attend Kenyon College becuase the professors here really care about your performance and your life after Kenyon. They have many open hours available to help you when you are in need and most professors live near campus. My Chem Prof. drove up to campus on Sunday to help me on some stuff before a test on Monday. In addition, Kenyon is not a competitive College. Most students work together on everything from problem sets to studying for finals. If you are a compeitive person with no social life, and you do not like living in a cozy, rural environment, Good Luck at Kenyon.

Campus Life and Social Life
Kenyon is a place where you have to create your own.
Big party nights are Wednesdays, Fridays and the weekend. There are lots of parties, and If you are not a party animal like me, the scoail board brings many comedians from around the US, speakers, $2 movie nights, $1 bowling, and of course, the new Athletic Center. There is a FREE shuttle if you need groceries or want to go into the city. The athletic center is amazing too. Another really cool thing is if you would like to start a new group or club, (even just for you and your friends), they fund your activties. There is lots of FREE food around campus. Academics
Well, the department with the lowest GPA's has to be ECON. We do not have a weak department at Kenyon, but the most famous ones are ENGLISH, DRAMA, and BIOLOGY. We do not have any TAs at Kenyon. All classes are taught by certified and very intelligent professors that have mastered their field. Professors here expect a lot from students, however, the workload is not impossible. If you fall behind, it is very, very hard to get back up. Professors are very helpful as well. They have office hours and are willing to drive back to campus, (even on a weekedn) to help you out. Sometimes, they even take their class out to eat. The student to Prof. relationships are very cool.

Student Body
The typical student at Kenyon is intelligent and down to earth. Are there white people everywhere you go, Hell yeah. However, the minority population is increasing. No matter what their ethniciy is, people here are all different, down to earth and very nice people. You will always have those stuck-up people anywhere you go, thats not lie. A lot of student from Kenyon are from OHIO, but there are tons of poeple from all over the US and around the world which is cool.

In Closing...
Kenyon is a calm, down to earth and rural environment. The students, proffesors and community are very friendly and you will definetly find people that match what you are interested in. THATS A FACT!
