I Hate Lehigh

Rating: 1/5 (47 ratings)
Introduction
I chose Lehigh because I recieved a great scholarship here, but I really hate it. The student body is self-absorbed and there is a huge amount of partying. Everyone joins a sorority or a fraternity, so if you don't want to go Greek, do not go here. Also, there is a huge focus on engineering and if you aren't going into engineering, the engineers will look down on you.

Campus Life and Social Life
Lehigh is a huge party school that presents itself as a non-party school. Any night of the week there are parties at the frats and tons of loud drunk students wandering around the dorms.
Academics
The Engineering College is very accredited and is supposed to be very good, but the College of Arts and Sciences is shafted to the side because of this. The academic workload is harder than high school, but not as hard as I was expecting considering Lehigh's reputation.

Student Body
The typical student at Lehigh is white, rich, stuck up, and from New Jersey, New York, or Pennsylvania. Students are into partying all the time, hating Lafayette, wearing Uggs and Polo shirts, popping their collars, and Greek Life.

In Closing...
Lehigh gives a very good (and untrue) impression of itself on visits on its website. In reality, this is a university for rich white kids who can afford to show up hungover to their morning classes because their parents are paying for their entire education.
