Lehigh Alumnus

Rating: 5/5 (53 ratings)
Introduction
Lehigh is a small research univeristy. It encourages cross disciplinary studies and is flexible with regard to switching colleges. Because the College of Arts and Sciences serves the other two colleges as well, the Arts and Sciences faculty is larger compared to the number of students in that college.

Academics are demanding, but the reward comes in ones career. Alumni are close knit and support the school with time and money.

Sports are competitive and in the right balance.

Greek system is moving to a better alignment with the educational mission.

Campus Life and Social Life
Many eating venues, good intramural program, beautiful campus with art throughout.

Social life has centered on Greek System, but other opportunities are growing.

Enthusiastic sports crowds.

Lehigh is a residential school with many outside musical groups and speakers.
Academics
Lehigh provides opportunities for a good education in all majors. Engineering and Business are traditional strengths, but Arts and Science is a rising college which has not received fair attention.

The opportunity for multidiscipline, multi-college courses is a strength and constant ontact with students from the other colleges provides a balanced perspective valuable in the future

Student Body
Lehigh students are competitive and this shows through in academics, clubs, athletics, and Greek life

In Closing...
Alumni giving is among the highest in the country showing gratitude for a good preparation and achievement that makes giving possible

The campus is one of the largest in the East with well-maintained historic and new buildings and attractive plantings year-round.
