Greys and Whites of the College
IntroductionStudents should stay away from this college if they are looking for the ultimate college experience. There is not much going on here. This is a very small campus with only 1 dorm residence hall, so everyone is under one roof. I chose it because it was close to home.
Campus Life and Social LifeWeekends are pretty dull if you are a freshmen. Most freshmen go home on the weekends. By Sophomore year, everyone start's sticking around on the weekend so there is more to do. If you don't go home, there are a lot of things to do nearby. This university is located 1 stop from Canal St. There is a "mall" on Fulton St. right near the university which has a lot of great shops including Macy's. Campus life is pretty lively but it all depends on who you hang out with, during warmer weather students hang out on the lawn until like 2 in the morning just talking and having fun. There are all different kinds of sports teams for both girls and boys. The only thing we don't have is football. Partying is good if you party with the right people. Be careful not to make too much noise so security doesn't catch you. And if you are into clubs then you will have a ball because there are more than you can imagine.
AcademicsWorkload depends on what major you are in. I am a biology major and so far the workload is not that much. There are some professors that are not the best, but that is bound to be the case at any college. The TA's are really nice, at least the ones I've had so far. They are there to provide extra help and guidance. As for the other departments I don't know about them.
Student BodyFreshmen are normally pretty lame. They go home on the weekends and aren't very social. Starting sophomore year everyone starts to get more social. You could pretty much find every kind of student. The rarest breed at this college is the over achiever. You will get more laid back people, more fun people. Not that many nerds.
In Closing...Make sure you pay close attention to your bill- they mess up sometimes. !
And that's pretty much it!
