Introduction
If you are looking at going to Macalester make sure you know what you are gettin' yourself into. It is a liberal, tree-huggin, hooka-smoking, frisbee-throwing, dread-lock wearing, no need to shave kind of crowd. I actually came here by mistake. I was at Lafayette College my freshmen year and transferred here as a sophomore thinking it would be alright. Man was I wrong. If you are a conservative of any kind, or moderate for that matter I would strongly reccommend not going here.

Campus Life and Social Life
Well the best part of the social life, is if you are involved in soccer. I am a varsity soccer player and they have basically the only normal kids around (some of the b-ball guys are alright too). ON the weekends there are a lot of house parties and sometimes going to the bars on Thursday nights. The worst part is that THERE ARE A VERY LIMITED NUMBER OF HOT GIRLS AT THIS SCHOOL! Lots of dogs and beasts. Really if you are looking for ladies do not go here! Academics
Oh man... well school sucks. The hardest majors are economics and any of the sciences (like biochemistry, physics or any of the shit.) Most of the people who go here are liberals and they want to "make a difference in this world" working for non-profit shitholes so they are PoliSci majors or anthropology. Those majors are jokes. The profs are great as they will help you with any questions. Workload is pretty heavy 'cause Macalester is a good school.

Student Body
I will give you a pic of a typical student here. Male: ragged jeans, sandals, Gratetful Dead shirt, dreads and they wreak of weed. Female: NOT shaven, hippie skirt, tang top, no shoes (most of the time) and they don't give a F*** what they look like. Almost all belong to some liberal group trying to stop the corporate world. They protest non-stop or have benefits for liberal causes. It sickens me.

In Closing...
Yeah, don't go here. No good looking girls. Everyone is trying too hard to be an "individual" and no one is in reality. No one is thinking about the future. They all want to "live in the moment" and not give a shit about where they will be in 5 years or what their life goals are. I hate this place and please don't make the same mistake I did!!
