Good school, iffy location.

Introduction
MU offers great academics, but the surrounding area is a major turn off for many potential students. The city is pretty run down; lots of beaten and abandoned buildings and old factories. And the school itself is in a bad part of town. It may be a culture shock for some.

Campus Life and Social Life
The school is obsessed with community service. People spend a lot of time doing that. There are parties on weekends, which can be fun, but they tend to get busted by campus security. Advertisement
Academics
The academics are above average. We have small class sizes compared to many schools.

Student Body
Almost all are from WI and IL...usually upper middle class and white. People are mostly nice and active in the community.

In Closing...
Basketball is quite popular, but no football to cheer for.
