Great Environment

Introduction
Meredith College is a woman's college, therefore, those who should apply should want to go to an all woman's college. I chose Meredith because it is like it's on sorority and community and everyone is insanely friendly. Even though it is all girls, Meredith is located three minutes from NC State, which has like 15,000 boys, and 15 minutes from UNC-Carolina. There is also Shaw and St. Augustus located near. It's for woman who are bold and brilliant and who want to become influential in life.

Campus Life and Social Life
There are "boy hours." If a guy is at Meredith after the hours, he must give his license to the security. Some people think it is a bad thing, but it's actually good when you think about it. You don't have to worry about seeing guys when you don't want to. They are allowed in your room and you're actually insanely safe on campus. That's good considering all of the campus shootings recently. There is also over 90 clubs to choose from, plus we can take classes that aren't available at MC that are at State and Carolina (etc). We have every sport other colleges have except for football because we don't have men. Partying typically takes place at State or other universities but we know how to party too. :) We also have homecoming week with "Cornhuskin'" which you just have to experience because Meredith College has a long line of traditions, which is really nice. Academics
To be honest, Meredith's work is tough. You WILL have to spend your time on your homework. The English and Education departments are the best at Meredith, in my opinion. Honor's college is exceptionally hard if you get in. At Meredith you can't just skate by like other colleges, but the classes are interesting and the class ratio is like 10:1 so they are fairly small.

Student Body
Meredith has unique woman from all throughout the world. What is interesting is that they are all insanely nice. And I know this has nothing to do with it, but the school's food isn't THAT great. haha

In Closing...
It's expensive. Tuition is $22,400, while room & board is $6,360. Meredith College is also all about the students and since there are about 2000 students they respond to you ASAP. I LOVE IT.
