A Desert in Miami

Introduction
This school is a place that all must stay away from. The thing is that I did not choose it. I was part of a dual enrollment program ;the school was just a stepping stone for me. This school is horrible. They make it so easy that a dog can get in-no offense to the dog. If you are an intelligent person ,or even a person with common sense, this school has a flag that says beware. It was valuable to me because it is a step above my old high school ;however , for any college student it will serve as a dertiment to their career. Try to stay away from "High School Part 2."

Campus Life and Social Life
The best part about the school has to be the gym and Arts and Letters week. This school has a lot of things going on but every year it seems like they are doing less. If you are picturing a "mondo gym" then stay home because you are probably going to have to wait in line for machines and you are probably going to enjoy working out in a shack. Parties? Sports? Weekends? This school is very ephemeral. People are constantly on the go. You might make some friends but if it comes to parties and fun your probably going to end up drinking. Advertisement
Academics
The school has the worst academics imaginable. I am a pretty bright student and I am angered by the lenient grading the professors have. I work hard and take pride in my work yet it seems everyone gets an A for their refrigerator. He best departments are probably the Music and the Science. Even these are not that great. The workload is the most slack that anyone can encounter and it is ridiculous. I feel like I am back in eighth grade. The work just is not very productive. The professors are friendly and approachable but that fails to make up for their lack of knowledge.

Student Body
The student body can be rude, pretentious, and ignorant. The reason there is such a problem with grade inflation is because they feel they are entitled to their grades. As soon as they get a bad grade, the release torrents to curve it. There are the rare "decent" individuals that do work hard and act civilized but it seems that the majority pride themselves in being part of the "Miami Scene." I wish I can say what there is to do for fun but one will have trouble making friends here since everyone is so self-absorbed.

In Closing...
"Sometimes I feel I've just got to run away." That quotation captures my thoughts about this campus. Many of the students that graduate from this school realize that it was not help to their academic careers. This school offers nothing more than cheap classes and cheap grades. Do not expect to be challenged. Don not expect to acquire any knowledge. Expect to snooze, to loathe your classes, and to loathe your professors.
