IntroductionThe reason I chose Miami was because of its location. It rests on a beautiful campus in Oxford, OH. A perfect distance away from home. The students of Miami seem to be the type of people I was used to and I felt that I could fit in here. People who should stay away from Miami are people who aren't willing to get out and meet new people and try new things. Nobody is going to come find you to see if you want to do something if you don't get out there yourself.
Campus Life and Social LifeThe social life at Miami is what you make it. 30% of the campus is Greek, and if you are greek you have a lot more to do than if your not. However in no way do you need to go greek. Usually there is at least one large party every weekend. Night life in Oxford includes clubing and bar-hopping. Club sports are big, and joining clubs makes the time pass in the small town of oxford. Green Beer Day is the biggest party of the year.

AcademicsIt all depends on what you take. The Miami Plan (core classes) sucks. English is pretty easy, while sciences are pretty tough if you can't memorize easily. Usually, you need to do your work to do well and you can't breeze by to good grades. TA's are worthless and professors are there if you want to talk.
Student BodyPreppy. Most students like designer clothing and nice cars. However you can find any type of person at Miami if you look hard enough. Most people are from Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinatti and Chicago.
In Closing...Miami is an awesome school if you know were to look. It might be hard to find your croud but any can fit into the school if they want to. The three best things I have done at Miami is join a fraternity, join the yearbook staff and become the photo editor of the school newspaper. If you find enough to do to make yourself busy enough, you'll always have fun. Don't wear yourself out, and always make sure you're having enough fun. Oxford is the best place to be for your 4 years in college
