Miami of Ohio
IntroductionThe school is beautiful, when you walk on campus you are surrounded by gorgeous brick buildings, and women who fit that mold as well.
If you want to get a well respected degree from a business program, but not have your head jammed in a book five nights a week, this is the place for you.
GO GREEK, it is a huge part of the atmosphere out here as we have four greek systems that began in our school, and we let everyone know it. It is a great way to meet new people, as well as bond with friends you will be close with for the rest of your life.
Campus Life and Social LifeParties mainly revolve around fraternities when you first get to school, mainly because they invite you in as if you are family, so it is hard not to. If you ever get tired of that, one of your friends usually will hear of a party at some house that has hundreds of people there, which is your access to a free night of drinking.
Sports aren't supported that well here, yeah we have good sports teams, but everyone on Saturdays are having too much fun pre-gaming to leave, so they don't. Hockey is really big out here, we just built a new ice rink, and baseball is fun to watch in the spring time. One thing we are known for is great club teams. Most of the people who attend this school played some sort of varsity sport in high school and it shows. Every night there are intra-mural games being played, as well as club sports practicing everywhere.

AcademicsThe business school, what I am in, is trying to become very prominent right now. To be admitted you need a 3.0 after your sophomore year, which is tough, but will definitely pump out some of the future leaders of America with the classes we have to take.
Marketing is the most popular business degree. It's what I am in, and my experience is that some teachers suck like in all schools, but some are great and will help you with whatever you need. One of mine hooked me up with an internship and now I am already employed with a semester of school left.
The business school is the most popular, but many people take psychology, teaching, and some journalism.
Student BodyMainly from Ohio...I would say is is about 66% Ohio, 20% Chicago, 14% all over the place.
Everyone says "We are all preppy," bull...you can if you want to, and I would say probably 40% of the people here do dress like that, however they only do it cause the girls look amazing and they want to impress them.
There are all kinds of people here, Jocks, hippies, band geeks, frat boys, sorority girls, shy, outgoing, everything.
One thing most people have in common, they like to keep in shape, so be prepared to look good.
In Closing...Going into my last semester, I find myself looking back on everything I have done, and I must say this is the best decision I have ever made in my life.
I have met all of my best friends here. I came here a shy kid from out of town, and ended up the President of my fraternity, knowing at least twenty people every time I walk to class, and i have a job already. How can a college prepare you for life anymore than it has for me?
