Close, But not too close...
IntroductionI chose it because it wasn't too far away from my hometown, but it wasn't in, or close to my hometown. I also chosen because it is the best school in TN to come for to for my major, which is Electronic Media Communication. Now, if you are a fairly shy and quiet person that doesn't know anybody that is coming to MTSU and you don't have a car, I don't recommend that you come to this school. Try to go to a school where you know a few people.
Campus Life and Social LifeTo be honest with you there is not really a lot to do on the weekends here because most people leave and go to their hometowns or Nashville. Most parties and special events here are held on Thursdays and other weekdays.

AcademicsWell, since I have been here I have a had some pretty good professors. I haven't really had any hard classes so my grades are very good. I don't know much about other departments, but the mass communications department is excellent. Everyone that works there can help you with any questions that you may have. In fact, most of the people that go to my school are there because they want a degree in Mass Communication area.
Student BodyMost of the students here are friendly, but they are two faced. Sometimes they like you and sometimes they don't, so I recommend that you know someone in advance before you come here. Most of the students here are from other TN cities like Memphis, Nashville, and Chattanooga and other surrounding towns. And since there are so many races and nationalities of people that go here, they are into so many things I can't just name one. But if I have to name something I see most people playing: basketball, football, and/or baseball.
In Closing...In a nutshell, I like it here at MTSU because I'm always doing something and involved in different organizations on campus. I really never get bored, so I just recommend that if you come here get to know people, get involved on campus, don't party too much, and get your school work done and don't procrastinate and you will do fine here at MTSU.
